MAY DAY DRAFT PROGRAM/ITINERARY
April 28 2019-
Travel day from US to Havana, Delegation welcome dinner that night. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided to the delegation each day.
April 29 2019-
Tour of the historic sections of Old Havana, visiting museums, and meetings with the Institute for Friendship to the World and labor leaders. Lunch and dinner provided. Our tour guide Arturo Mesa will provide an overview of history and reality of Cuba today.
April 30 2019-
Continuation of the tours, meetings and overview of current conditions in Cuba including a review of the new proposed constitution and the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana set for November.
May 1st 2019-
We board the bus at 4:00 am in order to arrive at Revolutionary Square, park, go through security, and find our seats for the March of 1,000,000 workers celebrating May Day. After the March we have lunch and have the rest of the afternoon for a break. The delegation has dinner together that night.
May 2nd 2019-
As many of the delegation as the Confederation Of Cuban Workers will allow will attend the International Conference of Labor Solidarity meeting and lunch. Any delegates who can not attend will visit the huge Arts and Crafts market.
May 3rd 2019 -
Travel to Matanzas Province to a great museum on the enslavement process of African prisoners and a visit with community leaders. Return to Havana for dinner.
May 4th 2019-
Travel day for those returning to the US.
For those leaving later, feel free to have the hotel care for your bags after your 12noon check out time and to arrange a taxi to the airport. Please be at the airport 3 hours before departure to allow for plenty of time to pass through immigration.

Double room accommodation in Havana (hotel Vedado)
On-ground transportation by air conditioned motor Bus.
One full time leader/translator from Havana and this may vary to two if the group is larger than 30 we may add another support guide.
Additional Altruvistas staff support
Preparatory reading and orientation materials.
Admission to all programmed activities on the Itinerary.

Three meals a day for full days of programming
One bottle of water everyday kept on bus
Tips for group meals, bell hops, tour driver and tour guide
The price does not include:
Expenses of a purely personal nature.
Airfare and visas
Extra Beverages or snacks and any meals on your own.
Tips for chamber maids (1 - 2 CUCs/day recommended)
Luggage transfer (at owner's risk throughout). Baggage allowance is two checked baggage with linear dimensions totaling 55x39x39; (the sum of the three dimensions), providing all pieces do not exceed 44 pounds. One hand luggage piece is allowed and is the responsibility of the passenger throughout.
